Constitutional Amendment:

Actively work for the passage and ratification of the “Alice Paul” Equal Rights Amendment.

Statutory:

Continue to seek and support implementation of legislation that will:

• Work for pay equity and economic self-sufficiency for all women;

• Eliminate discrimination against women in all areas of employment;

• Deter violence, domestic violence, and sexual abuse against women, children, and

elders and support victims of violence, domestic violence, and sexual abuse;

• Ensure equal access to health care for all women;

• Ensure equal funding for research into women’s health issues;

• Increase the availability of affordable, quality dependent care;

• Support equal educational and vocational opportunities at all levels;

• Ensure enforcement of existing civil rights and equal opportunity laws;

• Oppose all legislation that runs counter to this platform.
